“Heidi is an excellent poet who is a valued member of the SAW community. Working with us in cross-disciplinary teams with scientists and artists, Heidi designs complementary poetry sessions that are delivered as part of a SAW project day. Her sessions are always cleverly linked to the science theme and her method of delivery in the classroom gets the children fired up and ready to write. Heidi is very good at inspiring children to be bold in their writing and the children and their teachers are always delighted with the results.”

“Heidi Williamson is a tutor I trust, both to take a brief and work creatively to develop it beyond expectations, and to deliver workshops around it that are personable, well paced, full of engaging prompts, and productive. She is a tutor I recommend highly.”

Sam Ruddock, Programme Manager, Writers’ centre Norwich

“I just wanted to thank you very much for the excellent workshop on Saturday. I’ve been to quite a few but yours was amongst the best. Very well presented and paced.”

A hugely successful day. Heidi led creative writing workshops for 90 14 year olds as part of our National Science Day celebrations. She was able to speak to the entire student body at once whilst at the same time making each child feel positive about her own writing. Her reading at the beginning of the day inspired the pupils, so much so, that hearing them read their own work at the end of the day was incredible.

Not easy to establish a bond and trusted sharing in just a day. It happened quite naturally and soon for most, in large part thanks to your tutoring style, balancing really well the blend of engaging tasks, thinking/writing space and discussion moments. I loved it!
