We’re very lucky in my hometown of Wymondham to have an amazing community-run bookshop: the award-winning Kett’s Books. It’s a beautifully designed space with a terrific selection of books, right in the heart of the town on the market place.
On Saturday 28th September I’m going to be running a fun 2-hour workshop – ‘Demystifying poetry’ – in this fabulous place. The workshop is open to all, but you need to book your place in advance. It’s £15 and limited to 12 places.
Whether you’re a reader, a writer, a poet, a lover of the classics and/or a fan of contemporary poetry, come along and enjoy some poetry time. We’ll look at some modern and some classic poems. We’ll read them aloud and discuss how they’re working, and we’ll talk about what makes a poem a poem.
