New poems in MONK and SWWIM

Posted on 31 May 2019

New poems from my current manuscript have been published by international online journals MONK and SWWIM.

MONK is an international arts magazine exploring creativity and spirituality. Founded in 2018 it aims to be 'an inner space online... [an] imaginarium [to] showcase new paintings, fiction, podcasts, interviews, essays and more, with reflection, humility and an enquiring spirit.'

I'm really pleased that the title poem from my forthcoming third Bloodaxe collection, 'Return by minor road' has appeared in MONK's Spring issue, along with 'Dust, at intervals', another from the book. I'm especially delighted that the same issue hosts a fantastic interview with my editor Neil Astley 'The Shepherd Poet'.

SWWIM (Supporting Women Writers in Miami) is co-directed and co-curated by Jen Karetnick and Catherine Esposito Prescott, two women writers & poets based in Miami, Florida. SWWIM publishes, celebrates & promotes women, women-identifying, and femme-presenting writers through a year-round reading series held at The Betsy-South Beach and the online poetry journal SWWIM Every Day.

My poem 'The wild rain' was published in SWWIM Every Day today.
