Those lovely people at multi-disciplinary charity SAW (Science, Art and Writing) have teamed up with Norfolk Libraries, led by the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library, to deliver a series of workshops called ‘You can’t judge a book by its cover.’
Funded by the Wellcome Trust, these 3 hour, free workshops will invite various groups of all ages to participate in workshops to be held in Norfolk’s libraries.
As part of the workshop you’ll create a book cover and a short piece of writing about yourself.
The books from the workshops will be displayed as a collection in Norwich in the autumn.
I’m really looking forward to being the writer on the project. I’ll put up some dates of workshops, with times and venues, when we’ve confirmed them.
“Using practical science as a springboard, participants will develop their own book covers using mixed media arts to create personalised front covers to express themselves and creative writing to generate back cover biographies that are either aspirational, fictional or reality.”
‘You can’t judge a book by its cover‘ – 15 FREE workshops across Norfolk libraries, March to September 2018.
