Home Stage grew out of The Royal British Legion Club – The Harbour Room – in the village of Blakeney on the North Norfolk coast. When Covid hit, it migrated its Folk Club and Quiz Nights online. Seeing an opportunity to meet a key Royal British Legion aim, connecting with the isolated and lonely, they added gardening, bird watching, poetry, and concerts, as well as hosting the online Sunday Service for the local church.I’m really pleased to be reading and chatting with poet and scientist Anne Osbourn at 8pm on Wednesday 4th August. I’ve known Anne for many years and we’ve worked together on fascinating projects. We’ll talk about science and how it inspires our writing, as well as place and belonging. It’s completely free.
