Presenting at the Poetry and Mentoring Symposium, Friday 8th October

What stories can we tell about the people who make us into poets?

This free, one-day symposium on poetry and mentoring takes place in-person at Mayflower Studios in Southampton, and online.

It will share new research about the history of mentoring and creative practice, and celebrate the anthology launch of young poets mentored through an innovative new scheme.

Organised by Winchester Poetry FestivalArtfulScribe, and Professor Will May (University of Southampton) as part of the AHRC Invisible Mentors project, the Poetry and Mentoring symposium will take place in-person in Southampton and online.

Contributors include Romalyn Ante, Dzifa Benson, Aviva Dautch, Sandeep Parmar, Caleb Parkin and J.T. Welsch.

I’ll be speaking to Kostya Tsolakis about his work, and taking part in a panel discussion.
