My poem ‘The Woman Who Turned to Dust in the Frost’ is in Issue Six of wonderful indie journal Wet Grain.
Wet Grain is a magazine for poetry engaging with matters of land-use, provenance, and ownership. It is edited by Patrick Romero McCafferty & Nasim Luczaj. The magazine was founded by Christian Lemay & Patrick Romero McCafferty.
Issue Six was (Sept 2025) was guest-edited by Charles Lang, Eloise Birtwhistle, & Nasim Luczaj.
My poem was inspired by a workshop George Szirtes led on the Oxford Masters, and a quote from Orlando by Virginia Woolf about the Norwich Frost Fair.
Something I especially love about Wet Grain is that in each issue, contributing poets are invited to write a short piece of commentary on a poem included in the issue. Also the covers are literally works of art, featuring commissioned etchings that are hand-printed, making each copy an original print.
