The Moth is a beautifully produced Irish magazine with a world-wide appeal. I’m delighted to have a new poem, ‘Cormorant’, included in the current issue. It’s even featured on their website’s home page, which is a lovely boost.
The journal features poetry, short fiction and art by established and up-and-coming practitioners. Each issue also features two in-depth interviews with celebrated authors and artists.
It’s also associated with several highly-respected prizes – for poetry, short stories, children’s writing, and art.
I love the fact it has a ‘younger sibling’ called The Caterpillar, which is jam-packed full of poems, stories and artwork for children, from some of the best names around.
On my wish list is also a visit to their ‘rustic but cosy, pared back but comfortable, witty and warm’ retreat.
The Moth appears in March, June, September and December, and you can take out a subscription here.
