Cambridge Towards Publication workshop 17 November

I’m looking forward to running another session of my ‘Towards Publication’ day school, this time at the newly established Cambridge Writing Retreat.

The Cambridge Writing Retreat is a little outside Cambridge, in the picturesque village of Elsworth – mentioned in the Domesday Book. The workshop is in an early Victorian farmhouse in three acres of beautiful gardens, in a Conservation Area.

The day school runs from 10.30 to 5pm and includes a delicious lunch.

It’s designed for poets thinking about collating their work into a pamphlet or full collection, ready to send to publishers and competitions. The workshop is full of practical tips, techniques, and handouts.

The session will cover:

• Groundwork • Choosing what to include • Deciding on a running order • Writing into the collection • Titles • How to get feedback • Sending it off to publishers

Date: Saturday 17 November 2018, 10.30-5pm Location: The Cambridge Writing Retreat, Avenue Farmhouse, 33 Smith Street, Elsworth, Cambridge, CB23 4HY Cost: £80 Strictly limited to 10 participants
