I’m looking forward to running another session of my ‘Towards Publication’ day school, this time at the newly established Cambridge Writing Retreat.
The Cambridge Writing Retreat is a little outside Cambridge, in the picturesque village of Elsworth – mentioned in the Domesday Book. The workshop is in an early Victorian farmhouse in three acres of beautiful gardens, in a Conservation Area.

The day school runs from 10.30 to 5pm and includes a delicious lunch.
It’s designed for poets thinking about collating their work into a pamphlet or full collection, ready to send to publishers and competitions. The workshop is full of practical tips, techniques, and handouts.
The session will cover:
• Groundwork • Choosing what to include • Deciding on a running order • Writing into the collection • Titles • How to get feedback • Sending it off to publishers
